Research
We are trying to establish a new "Chemical Engineering" to realize the One-Pot Process which can integrate multi-steps of molecular recognition and conversion in "Condensed Phase". "Liposome", which is a self-assemby, is used as the model system of the condensed phase. From another point of view, we try to learn the "strategy" of biological system. The interactive boundary of the biological cell is a biomembrane, which is a molecular assembly of lipids, proteins, sterol derivatives etc. However, the fundermental information of characteristics of molecular assembly of lipid molecules has not been fully understood owing to its complexity. Engineering science of "liposome" is systematically studied from both viewpoints.
